The Leaders and Scouts of the 1 st Liss Scout Troop have agreed to work together to promote respect and good behaviour in the Troop, to support our enjoyment of a programme which is both challenging and fun. Together, we will:. The Code is written and agreed by the Scouts and Scout Leaders and is signed by all Scouts, Young Leaders, Leaders and regular adult helpers who attend meetings or events of 1 st Liss Scouts. Verbal Warnings. Yellow Cards. If a verbal warning is ignored, the young person will be issued with a Yellow Card. The Parent s may also be contacted. The young person will as a minimum punishment automatically sit out the next 10 minutes of any activity. Red Cards. If the young person commits a second Yellow Card offence, on the same night he will receive a Red Card. They will not be allowed to take any further part in that evenings meeting. Parent s will be advised. S uspension — If a young person receives a Red Card, they will automatically be suspended from the next two meetings and will not be allowed to attend Camps, or outings held during that month.
One of the most important aspects of our Scout Group is that we continually provide a safe and friendly environment for our children and young adults to participate in and develop. We believe it is important our Scouts understand and participate in good spirit, and always consider the well being of their fellow Scouts. Our main Code of Conduct guidelines are explained below. These guidelines give our leaders a good base for the pack to participate under and are used to reinforce our policies above. All Cubs are expected to behave well and appropriately.
